Aaron Swartz, an Inspiration I wanted to share of a Revolution lost and…. never to be forgotten.
8 Nov 1986 – 11 Jan 2013
I am not sure if the title is fitting, but it’s how I feel about Aaron after watching his amazing story documentary the other night.
A young man who decided that the way things were and always has been, does not have to be the way it is. We are living our lives in a well organised, systematic controlled society. A culture of corporate rule and law with a government that supports it’s system and unbalanced justice.
It’s where the split in society is….. where
- big organisations rule and govern the world and
- the rest of us work for it
Note: What I say here is not an expert educated story of something I know about, I’ve never heard of Aaron Swartz This is just my interpretation of what I got out of watching Aaron Swartz’s story and how I interpreted the inspiration he gave me. He was a voice of Freedom and Justice, I was inspired about what he stood for and how big he was going to change the world but never got the chance to………. yet in some ways he did.
- Freedom and
What we believe, in what’s right and what’s wrong, and what we stand for, in making a contribution to the world, is being true to ourselves without the feeling of being boxed in by the law of….. ‘walk this path and don’t stray off it.’.… I’m exaggerating but you know what I mean.
We live our lives and think nothing of it because there is a rule of how things are, and how we fit in. We enter the world, we go to school and we learn about the world and figure out where we are going to fit in to it….
- Are we going to be in the Corporate Government Groupe or
- are we going to be in the Working Class……. ‘stay on the path, don’t stray groupe.’
What makes him any different to any other Inspirational Genius in History.
- Albert Einstein
- Stephen Hawkins
- Steve Jobs
- Bill Gates
- Tim Berners-Lee
- the few that I come to know of.
With the computer and internet revolution being available to every man, woman and child today, Aaron in his own way was trying to revolutionise the acquisition and availability of scientific and academic information which is free to everyone around the world. Information on Law which currently is secretly guarded by corporate and government legislation. (changes have come in to place since, because of Aaron)
Bottom line is, we have the freedom to learn and exercise our rights to make the world a better place and serve mankind with freedom of knowledge. You can watch the documentary yourself and see how amazing he was and how much we lost when he no longer is here with us today.
Very deep, very powerful and very sad least to say, he is someone son, brother and partner. He is a very inspirational and an amazing child genius.
Rest In Peace Aaron Swartz.

What I got out of this story.
I was inspired by his belief and action to change the world to help mankind. He had a mind like….the five mentioned modern day history makers above and he was not interested in money.
Which reminded me of Entrepreneurs all over and how they function in this world based on their beliefs and their passion.
It made me think of how I needed to operate in my own way to allow my creativity to flow with out trying. I needed to be free of one feeling to allow the other feelings to grow.
Belief….. pretty much everything I have always preached and expressed about expressing yourself. Belief in your thoughts and how you can achieve, just by taking action and persevering to achieve your goals on a daily basis. Developing your thoughts to create habits to change your life everyday is easy to do.
Write it, think it and say it daily and soon it becomes effortless and normal……..you’ve changed .
Passion…. developed from your beliefs and feeling it in your soul. The feeling that you have a purpose, to achieve your goal no matter what anybody else thinks. Combined with your belief you keep going and should you fall, you get up and keep going because you can see, feel and taste your end journey.
It becomes fun to do before you sleep and when you wake up every day.
It’s clarity of your vision and focus to achieve it on a daily basis.
Stand-up…. be brave and courageous to exercise what you believe in.
You see, my mentors Jay Kubassek and Stuart Ross express if you take action and follow through with your belief in giving value……you will be rewarded.
Take Action….. and do it consistently every day. Daily consistency focussed action creates habit, Habit changes lives. Make mistakes and learn from them but keep going.
Build your list and connect with them.
The beginning of….
- passion and
- action, encompassing
- perseverance and
- never give up
Build your list and deliver value to people who are looking for help to change their lives. Empower people and people will follow you.
What’s your story? And do you believe in it, and yourself?
